Becoming a Volunteer at DRC

Danish Refugee Council is supported by thousands of volunteers who assist us in ensuring a dignified life for all displaced.

The biggest share of our volunteers is based in Denmark. Though right now you also have a unique opportunity to be deployed as an European Union Aid Volunteer (EUAV) to several of DRC’s global operations or UNHCR operations in Africa, Latin America as well as Eastern Europe and Balkan countries.

  • If you live in Denmark and want to be a part of the national activities, you need to visit this page to read more about volunteer activities in Denmark and how to sign up.
  • If you want to become an EU Aid Volunteer, you can find information about the project, recruitment process and see our current vacancies here

Please note that deployment of volunteers from DRC’s HQ to global operations only appears through the EUAV project. If you want to volunteer in your country of residence, and if there are no EU Aid Volunteer deployments open, we recommend that you reach out to the country office closest to you to ask about possibilities. You can find contacts for local offices here

In addition to volunteers, we also offer a limited number of internships and traineeships (both in Denmark and globally). These are always posted on our vacancy pages, where we recommend that you sign up to the Job Agent to receive notifications when internships are advertised.
