Peacebuilding Programming Achievements 2025
Executive summary
In 2025, DRC and partners, implemented peacebuilding programming across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. This broadly covered the fields of conflict management and security governance. Through collaboration with and support to conflict and displacement affected communities and groups involved in conflict prevention and management, this included work on early warning systems, inclusive dialogues, mediation and community-led peace initiatives. It also involved support to community safety initiatives and engaging key stakeholders, such as security providers, in dialogues around safety and security governance.
Furthermore, DRC conducted conflict analyses, conflict sensitivity assessments and provided peacebuilding capacity strengthening. By supporting communities, youth, women and civil society to engage in security governance, peaceful conflict management and inclusive dialogue, DRC contributed to bottom-up peacebuilding, social cohesion and local resilience.
