About the job

The Identity & Security Architect is responsible for defining, governing, and evolving DRC's identity, security, and Microsoft technology architecture.

The role focuses on Identity & Access Management (IAM), Zero Trust, security architecture, governance and information protection. Working closely with IT Operations, Information Security, Infrastructure, Enterprise Architecture, and Global Management, you will help shape DRC's future technology landscape while ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant solutions that support our global humanitarian mission.

You will act as a trusted advisor and technical authority, driving architecture standards, governance, and strategic technology initiatives across the organization.
 

Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Define and maintain DRC's Identity, Security, and Microsoft technology architecture roadmap.
  • Own and govern DRC's Identity & Access Management architecture.
  • Define standards and roadmaps for Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, and Privileged Access Management.
  • Drive DRC's Zero Trust architecture and security-by-design principles.
  • Lead architecture reviews and technical governance activities.
  • Define and maintain security architecture standards and compliance controls.
  • Advise on Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, threat protection, and security monitoring capabilities.
  • Establish governance frameworks for identity, information protection, and access management.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend strategic improvements.
  • Reduce operational risk through governance, standardization, and architecture excellence.
     

About you

To be successful in this role, you are a strategic thinker with strong expertise in Identity & Access Management, Security Architecture, and Microsoft cloud technologies. You are passionate about designing secure, scalable, and compliant solutions that enable business objectives while protecting organizational assets and data.

You are comfortable operating at both strategic and technical levels, engaging with senior stakeholders, translating business requirements into architectural decisions, and driving governance and standards across a complex global environment.

Moreover, we also expect the following:
 

Required

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with Microsoft technologies in enterprise environments.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, security architecture, or technical leadership roles.A relevant educational background at a high level
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Identity & Access Management.
  • Experience designing and implementing Zero Trust architectures.
  • Experience with Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Experience with Conditional Access, Identity Governance, and Privileged Access Management.
  • Experience defining architecture standards, governance frameworks, and security controls.
  • Experience translating business requirements into secure technology solutions.
  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.

 

Desirable

  • Experience with Conditional Access, Zero Trust principles, and identity governance.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management best practices.
  • Experience working in international or NGO environments.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications such as MD-102, MS-102, SC-300, or equivalent

Start date: 01-10-2026

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the agreement between DRC and the and the relevant union agreement. This is contractually a national position for which local Danish terms and conditions apply
