ABOUT THE JOB

The Driver is responsible to provide timely and safe transport of passengers and goods in compliance with Operations Handbook, Local driving rules and Area Security Plan and annexes..

Responsibilities:

The main responsibility of this position is to be function in the Western Region, Afghanistan.

  • Provide safe transportation for Area office staff, visitors and assets
  • Provide accurate reports of mileage
  • Maintain and cleaning the vehicles on daily basis in good repair and a roadworthy condition
  • Safeguard the passengers and vehicles, according to DRC procedures
  • Keep confidentiality of the movement
  • Assist with other office work as required by the Logistics and Safety team
  • Basic communication with communities during field missions.
  • Regular daily communication and Reporting of movement to Radion Room
  • Support transport/ mechanic when there is need.
  • Safeguard of the vehicle when go to the city and or to the field
  • Immediate report when incident occurs.
  • Any other tasks assign by supervisor

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you must have:

Experience and technical competencies: 

  • Minimum 5 years experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of spoken English and Local Languages
  • Have valid driving license.

Education/qualifications:

  • High School, Fleet

Languages:

  • Proficient spoken Dari and Pashto with basics English
