Application deadlines

Deadlines for submitting proposals for funding via DiPS in 2018 are June 1 and December 1 (pending availabilty of funds).

All relevant documents, including the project proposal guidelines, the application form and the budget template can be found here.

Applicants usually receive a reply within 10 weeks. After this deadline, the applicant organization will be invited to participate in project cycle management training and to develop the proposal into a fully fledged project. 

Please note that the final application must be sent electronically to [email protected]. Applications sent to any other e-mail will not be accepted. 

Support to developing your project proposal

The Diaspora Programme offers prospective applicants individual counselling on project proposal development. Counselling meetings must be requested through email to [email protected] minimum two weeks before requested meeting date. A draft of the application must be submitted one week before the meeting date. At least two organization members engaged in the project must participate in the counselling meeting.

During project implementation

Grant holders are required to adhere to the Diaspora Programme administrative requirements for financial management, procurement and reporting, and to participate in mandatory trainings/seminars related to the project. Valid administrative guidelines and annexes can be found here.

Volunteer Support Unit
