Volunteer Support Unit

Do you want support for your project work?

The volunteers at the DP Support Unit are happy to help you with matters concerning your project work, whether it is related to writing a project proposal, administrative tasks, language or other challenges. Just like you the volunteers may be new to the Diaspora Programme, but have a specific interest in diaspora projects and in helping out. All volunteers have a relevant background from academic studies and/or work experience.

This support is an offer for all organisations applying for or implementing projects with support from the Diaspora Project Support (DiPS) - or if you otherwise need support for your diaspora organisation.

How to get help:

  • Come by the ‘Frivillighus’ in Nørre Voldgade 82 in Copenhagen on Wednesdays between 18.00 and 21.00 for help and a chat.
  • Send a request via email as described below to be matched with one of our volunteers.

Requesting help for volunteer support

You can choose to have a volunteer connected to your project on a long-term basis or request support for single tasks.

If you choose to have a volunteer connected to your project on a long-term basis, you can expect support from the volunteer around two hours per week or every other week.

In order to make the cooperation with volunteers work it is very important that the diaspora organisation and volunteer start out by making a clear agreement on expectations and ideas concerning tasks and time.

If you are interested, please send the following information to [email protected]:

1. Name of organization

2. Name/description of project

3. Our organization would like the support of a volunteer
- on a long-term basis
- for single tasks

4. We need support with:

-Narrative and financial reports

- Other
