Undertaking a research study on the role of diaspora in responding to climate-related disasters and supporting resilience of local communities to the changing climate and environmental degradation in fragile and conflict-affected contexts

This tender is closed

DEMAC (the Diaspora Emergency Action & Coordination network), an initiative hosted by Danish Refugee Council (DRC), is seeking a consultant to capture the impact, outreach, and organization of diaspora responses to climate-related disasters in five selected countries of ongoing and previously implemented climate-related interventions spanning from the time the research is conducted to 3-5 years in the past, which will serve as case studies for research. The aim of the mapping is to document the role played by diaspora organizations to prevent and respond to the direct and indirect impacts of climate change and environmental degradation in their country of origin.
