Activities in 2013 - Myanmar

Programme Coordinator for Myanmar, Anders Bech Tharsgaard, tells about the relief work in 2013.

What made the biggest impression on me this year, was meeting children and grown-ups, whose lives have been turned upside down ever since they stepped on a landmine. For most the road to a medicinal treatment and an individually fitted prosthesis is long. But the will to recreate a normal existence is indisputable among the survivors.

It takes focused and continuous assistance before the survivors once again can attend school, keep a job or just move around in their villages near the jungle.
