Escalation of hostilities on Yemen

DRC

As a humanitarian organisation working across Yemen, DRC is deeply concerned by the recent escalation in hostilities, which has displaced thousands of families and risks devastating consequences for millions of Yemenis.

DRC urges all parties to exercise restraint, protect civilians and uphold international humanitarian law. Every diplomatic avenue should be pursued to prevent further escalation. Humanitarian Aid organisations must also be able to safely reach people in need across the country, including in areas affected by active hostilities.
