Who are we?

You will join DRC’s Global Finance Division, based at HQ in Copenhagen. We cover the full spectrum of finance responsibilities across the organization. The department consists of more than 50 finance professionals with diverse backgrounds, nationalities, and areas of expertise, bringing strong analytical, technical, and operational capacities. Together, we work to ensure that DRC’s financial management is robust, compliant, and continuously evolving to support high quality humanitarian delivery in more than 30 countries. You will report to the Global Finance Director and work closely with the Finance Leadership Team (FLT).

 

About the job

The Global Finance Coordinator plays a key role in strengthening DRC’s finance governance and supporting the transition to our new Operations Framework, which sets the global standards for policies, procedures and governance across Finance and the wider organization. The role is ideal for an ambitious early career finance professional who wants broad exposure, meaningful responsibility, and the opportunity to shape how finance policies and procedures are developed and maintained across the organization.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

 

  • Support the implementation of the new Operations Framework within Finance, including mapping and organizing existing policies, procedures, and tools.
  • Coordinate governance processes with the Global Finance Director and FLT, including meetings, documentation, and follow-up on decisions.
  • Contribute to the development, alignment, and maintenance of finance policies and procedures.
  • Support monitoring of governance and risk items.
  • Maintain structured, high quality filing systems for all finance governance documentation.

Moreover, we also expect the following:

 

Required

  • 2–4 years of experience in finance, financial operations, governance support, or similar roles.
  • University degree in finance, business administration, economics, or a related field
  • Understanding of core finance processes (e.g., budgeting, accounting, reporting cycles, internal controls).
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with experience using structured documentation platforms (SharePoint, Teams).
  • Strong communication skills and confidence coordinating across multiple stakeholders.
  • Interest in using BI dashboards (Power BI) and AI tools to support governance workflows.

 

Desirable

  • Experience supporting finance managers or leadership teams.
  • Involvement in policy or procedure development.
  • Training or certifications in finance, governance, risk, or project coordination.

 

We offer

Contract length: Permanent

Workplace: Lyngbyvej 100, 2100 Copenhagen Ø, just by Ryparken station

Start date: June 1, 2026

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the agreement between DRC and AC (agreement for Academics). The position is at ‘fuldmægtig’ level. This is a national position for which local terms and conditions apply.

Please note that you need to have the right to work in Denmark (through nationality or existing work visa) in order to be considered for this role.
