DRC Syria
DRC has been operating in Syria since 2008, initially responding to the Iraqi refugee crisis before pivoting to a full-scale response to the Syria crisis from 2011 onwards. Our work encompasses the full cycle of displacement—responding to life-saving humanitarian needs and supporting community recovery until durable solutions can be achieved. DRC Syria takes an area-based approach to supporting internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees, and host communities across our key sectors: Economic Recovery and Resilience, Protection, WASH, Shelter and Infrastructure, and Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding (including Humanitarian Mine Action).
With an established rapid response mechanism, DRC can rapidly respond to emerging crises and shocks to meet acute emergency needs. Recognizing the significant need for early recovery and resilience programming to ensure dignified, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions for fragile communities, DRC’s programmes foster resilience for individuals and communities in situations of protracted displacement and during the initial stages of post-conflict recovery, towards a durable solution of their choice. With active portfolios in the neighboring countries of Jordan, Lebanon, Türkiye and Iraq, DRC offers a cross-border, regional response to the Syria crisis, through cross-border protection monitoring, advocacy, and trends analysis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain proper archiving of all project-related documents, both in hard copy and electronic formats, ensuring easy access and retrieval.
• Perform accurate data entry and support the registration process in accordance with established procedures.
• Complete and organize required forms and documentation, ensuring all records are up to date and properly filed.
• Handle basic administrative and clerical tasks, including document preparation, formatting, and internal coordination.
• Support day-to-day office operations, including managing files,
• Tracking records, and assisting multiple tasks simultaneously as required.
• Perform any other work-related duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Experience and Technical Competencies:
• Minimum one year of experience in Administrations or humanitarian work.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate clearly and effectively at all levels.
• Flexibility and willingness to change work practices and hours, and the capability to work in an insecure environment.
• Excellent communication skills, calm, with a good sense of working in an intercultural environment.
• Highly diplomatic and emotionally intelligent with strong oral and written communication skills
• Self-motivated and results-oriented.
• Essential report writing skills.
Education:
• University or technical institute degree in any of the Economics, Administration, Business Management, Finance, International Relations, Development studies, computer science or other degree with years of relevant experience.
Languages:
• Fluent in Arabic- Written and spoken is essential.
• Good English – Written and spoken

We offer:
