Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a leading protection agency with a mandate to protect, advocate and promote durable solutions for displacement affected populations.

DRC is currently looking for a Human Resources Assistant (Onboarding & Recruitment) to join our team in Kharkiv.
About the job
As HR Assistant you will be a part of the friendly HR team, supporting and helping in recruitment and onboarding process. You will provide as well administrative assistance and support to the HR department in accordance with DRC guidelines and procedures and Ukrainian legislation.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
- Ensure staff recruitment process is in line with DRC procedure and the labor law
- Editing job descriptions and job advertisement announcements for position postings
- Advertising of job vacancies on the DRC and local web sites
- Screening and reviewing resumes and job applications, and performing phone screenings calls if needed
- Use all necessary sources for active and passive candidate recruiting, using the best DRC approach
- Prepare long list, organizing interviews, reference checks and all relevant documentation
- Send job offers and process documents for new hires
- Ensuring that all DRC recruitment tools and documents are used during the recruitment process
- Update Vacancy tracker
- Provide welcoming and HR Onboarding sessions for the newly recruited staff
- Perform administrative tasks related to hiring of new employees: collecting all documents from candidates needed for new hires according to the local labor law
- Ensure that internal documents of the DRC are correctly completed
- Assist in writing job descriptions for staff performance and development processes
- Ensure compliance with HR legislation and DRC Policies
About you
To be successful in this role we expect you to have at least 1 year of experience in a similar position or have previous experience in recruitment or other HR related tasks. Moreover, we also expect the following:
Required:
- Attention to details, good communication skills, strong soft skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources management or related field, or equivalent professional qualification
- Language skills: fluency in Ukrainian, English language skills will be an asset
