Danish Refugee Council, one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, is currently looking for a student assistant to join our Commercial Contracts Team at HQ.
DRC’s Commercial Contracts Team provides oversight and support to Country Operations and other entities in DRC in bidding for, managing and implementing commercial contracts. The team actively scans for new opportunities, supports bidding and delivery processes, and ensures compliance and quality across the portfolio. The work of the Team is essential in generating unrestricted funding that fuels innovation and long-term investment in DRC’s humanitarian mission.
About the job
We are a small but growing unit that works across the organization. The student assistant will be working closely with our advisors but is also expected to be able to work independently. The student assistant is expected to primarily support the business development side. Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
- Support our advisors in identifying project opportunities, and prepare overview of relevant donor strategies
- Assist with internal data management
- Support in writing project references
- Add to and maintain our CV database
- Assist with development and maintenance of our intranet and SharePoint sites
- In connection with specific bids, assist with collecting and developing required documentation
- Any other ad hoc tasks
About you
To be successful in this role we expect you to be a proactive and systematic person, who can work independently but who also works well with others. Moreover, we also expect the following:
Required
- Enrolment in higher education, e.g. university
- Have completed at least two years of higher education
- Confirm that you have the required permits to work and live in Denmark
- Fluency in both written and spoken English
- Commitment to the values and Code of Conduct of the Danish Refugee Council
Desirable
- Interest in humanitarian assistance and international development
- Being systematic
- Eye for detail, and good written and verbal communication skills
- Experienced user of Office 365
- Ability to organize your own work, and to balance and prioritize different tasks
- Being a team player with good interpersonal and intercultural skills

We offer
Contract length: Depending on study enrolment
Working hours: 15 hours a week
Work location: Lyngbyvej 100, 2100 Copenhagen Ø (right by Ryparken station)
Start date: As soon as possible
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the agreement between DRC and HK. This is a national position for which local terms and conditions apply.
