Duty Station : Sittwe, Rakhine State
Report to : Supply Chain Team Leader
Overall purpose of the role:
Responsible for all asset management, warehousing, transportation of goods and people, vehicle fleet management, and general logistics support to the programme.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring all the warehousing and logistics functions are in line with DRC Operations Handbook
- Ensure that all logistics specific donor rules and policies are understood and respected.
- Supervise and coordinate safe transportation of people and goods within DRC operational area in Rakhine State.
- Optimize all logistics operations to increase cost effectiveness including setting up longer term supply contracts.
- Working closely with the procurement/program teams to ensure proper documents for deliveries are shared with warehouse assistant.
- Supervise asset management and maintain asset register updated ensuring all new assets and transfer of assets are recorded timely and accurately.
- Ensure all fixed assets reports are updated in the system that is aligned with verified manual registers.
- Plan and arrange for bi-annual/annual assets/GPE verification and physical counts and timely report to supervisor and other relevant person.
- Participating in disposal process of the assets and other damaged items.
- Provision of timely monthly status reports for warehouse and assets
- Effective and efficient support to programs’ needs including of timely reporting of stock reports, asset reports, other logistics reports and alert mechanism to program staff.
- Asist on the rental process of the vehicles and other premises together with procurement team.
- Support procurement team for the procurement of goods and services if/when required and requested by Supply Chain Team Leader.
- Assist in recruitment, training and capacity building of the warehouse and logistics team.
- Ensure DRC supplier due diligence is effective in the relevant context
- Correctly apply ERP supply chain processes
- Deputize the Supply Chain Team leader when he/she is absent or delegated.
- Any other duties relating to the nature of the job as requested by Supply Chain Team Leader or his/her direct or indirect supervisor.
Required experience and technical competencies
- Relevant university degree in Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in humanitarian logistics, procurement, transport and distribution, warehousing, asset and fleet management
- Good understanding of the logistics, warehouse rules and regulations of major international donors
- Excellent skill in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Understanding of operational context in Rakhine State
- Fluency in local language and advanced English proficiency.

Condition
Contract: DRC will offer the successful applicant a DRC’s Regular contract including 3-month probation. Renewable depends on both funding and performance. Salary and conditions will be in accordance with DRC’s Terms of Employment. The position is placed in Employment Band H- Non management. Only applicants who can work and be based in Sittwe, Rakhine State, are eligible for this position.
