Reporting to the Director of Global Supply Chain and sitting within DRC's FRISC/Supply Chain unit, this role leads policy & development for supply chain, with a focus on strengthening DRC's ability to develop, innovate, and deliver impactful supply chain outcomes. Operating as a strategic architect, you will design and implement forward-looking supply chain policies, governance, and processes that strengthen DRC's competitive advantage, operational excellence, and sector-wide impact, with a primary technical emphasis on procurement policy and governance, sourcing models, and category strategy development.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
- Drive the organisation-wide procurement and supply chain development agenda, aligned with DRC's strategy, the humanitarian sector reform agenda, and the evolution from legacy to next-generation supply chain capabilities
- Design, implement, and maintain global supply chain policies, quality standards, and governance frameworks, conducting periodic reviews and driving harmonisation of processes across operations
- Act as Business Process Expert (BPE) for the Procure-to-Pay (P2Pay) process within DRC Dynamics 365, enabling digitalisation and process simplification across global supply chain systems.
- Lead the development of organisation-wide category strategies anchored in data, supplier segmentation, and sector best practice, including sourcing models and consolidation opportunities
- Establish performance frameworks, dashboards, and KPIs that translate supply chain policy, systems, and category strategy into measurable organisational value
- Build organisational capability through training, coaching, and technical support, sharing evidence and lessons learned to advance sector-wide humanitarian supply chain excellence
- Develop business cases and secure stakeholder alignment for strategic supply chain investments and system upgrades
- Support Director of Supply Chain in strategic engagement with public and private sector partners, and initiating scalable pilots in logistics, technology, and financial services
About you
To be successful in this role we expect you to combine strong strategic & technical supply chain expertise with the ability to influence and drive change across a decentralised, multi-country organisation, translating policy and strategy into practical, adopted outcomes. Moreover, we also expect the following:
Required
- 7-10 years' experience within one or more technical supply chain areas, preferably including policy development, strategy development, process optimisation and/or competency development
- 3-5 years' experience with ERP systems and associated compliance monitoring
- Demonstrated in-country & or Regional/HQ experience managing supply chain operations in developing country contexts with NGOs and/or the UN
- Master's or equivalent relevant academic degree
- Fluent English
Desirable
- Danish, French, Spanish and/or Arabic language skills
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
