About the job
Under the direct supervision of DRC Area Manager and technical supervision of the Supply Chain Specialist, the Support Service Assistant / Driver is responsible for performing basic supply chain tasks to support the smooth operation of the office, supervision of the Guest House and office maintenance work, performing physical checks on stock movements and facilitating the small procurement operations… The role involves liaising with key staff and suppliers to ensure smooth running of procurement streams. Additionally driving duties are required including the safe transportation of staff and supplies.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
Driving and Vehicle-Related
- Drive DRC staff in a safe and courteous manner.
- Safely transport staff members and visitors to designated destinations as required.
- Perform daily check on the vehicle condition.
- Ensure regular vehicle maintenance and cleanliness
- Keep accurate records of vehicle logbooks, fuel consumption and maintenance activities as required.
- Participate to the elaboration of the monthly fleet report.
- Collect and drop DRC staffs and visitors from/to the airport.
- Drive DRC staff to other locations in Tripoli.
Office and Guesthouse Management
- Monitor weekly cleaning duties for office and guesthouse cleaners.
- Ensure there is always a stock of drinking water, tea coffee and cleaning products for all properties and coordinate with the supply chain specialist to place replenishment orders.
- Supervise the maintenance works undertaken in DRC facilities when performed and report to the Supply Chain Specialist when works are completed.
Clerical Office Duties
- Provide clerical support when needed including printing, photocopying, scanning, data entry and filing.
- Management and recording of office supplies, stationery and GPE.
- Responsible for ensuring ordering any required office supplies when low.
Procurement
- Assist in the procurement process for low value procurement (LVP).
- Liaise with suppliers with regards to delivery issues and to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Ensure goods are received in good condition and stored safely and securely.
Warehouse Management

Perform the physical entries and destocking operations from the DRC warehouse and report to the supply chain specialist to update the warehouse database.
Hotel/Venue Requirements

Assist (in close collaboration with the Supply Chain Specialist) with the organising of workshops/training/accommodation and venue reservation as required
About you
To be successful in this role we expect you to have At least 1 year of practical experience in similar role with International NGOs, donors or UN agencies.
Moreover, we also expect the following:
- Proven experience in supporting logistic and administrative tasks
- Previous trainings in safety & security will be an asset
- Good communication skills and team spirit
- Valid driving license (Libya) obtained for more than 5 years.
- Proficient in spoken and written English and Arabic.
