Camp Coordination and Camp Management profile Sector in South Sudan

According to the 2023 Humanitarian Needs Overview, a total of 9.4 million individuals will require humanitarian assistance this year, including more than 9 million internally displaced persons (IDPs) and 337,000 refugees. The persistent occurrence of natural disasters, conflicts, and instability has led to a significant displacement of civilians, both within the country and across borders, necessitating their relocation to refugee camps, protection of civilian sites (PoCs), and Internally Displaced Person (IDP) sites. The urgent need for Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) interventions spans the country, affecting approximately 1.7 million people.
