Durable Soulutions Platform Summary

South Sudan is confronted with a dual challenge: addressing displacement caused by historical and recurring conflict, as well as displacement induced by climate change. This situation has led to a significant number of internally displaced individuals who are highly vulnerable. Compounding this issue, approximately 465,456 individuals, according to data from IOM, UNHCR, and RRC as of January 2024, have been forcibly displaced from Sudan to South Sudan. These individuals are settling in areas already facing acute challenges related to economic opportunities and access to basic services.
