Learning Brief: Leveraging the Self-Reliance Index for Livelihoods Impact Assessment

The Self-Reliance Index (SRI) was successfully applied to assess household progress under the Pathways to Prosperity (P2P) and ABLI-G II projects in Kakuma and Dadaab, Kenya. With support from DANIDA, the Grundfos Foundation, and the European Union, the SRI captured both qualitative and quantitative data across key livelihood domains. From methodology and tool adaptation to field learnings and future recommendations, this brief showcases how DRC Kenya is strengthening impact measurement across its Economic Recovery programs and paving the way for more evidence-driven livelihoods programming.
