Diaspora Led Protection Information

Pathways to Protection (P2P) is a Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) funded project led by DRC in partnership with the Danish Red Cross and the International Detention Coalition. Running from 2025 to 2029, P2P operates across ten countries on the Central, Western, and Eastern Mediterranean migration routes. The project strengthens protection services for people on the move. The Diaspora Programme leads the diaspora component, supporting diaspora organizations to deliver trusted protection information

Executive summary

Pathways to Protection (P2P) is a Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) funded project led by DRC in partnership with the Danish Red Cross and the International Detention Coalition, which aims to strengthen protection services and systems for people on the move along key migration routes in Africa and the Mediterranean. Funded by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the five-year initiative (2024–2029) adopts a Whole-of-Route Approach to improve access to essential services, rights, and safer migration pathways.
