Updated DRC Protection Sector Summary 2024

South Sudan continues to face one of the most severe protection crises globally, characterized by elevated levels of Gender-based Violence (GBV) and numerous reports of significant gross human rights violations throughout the nation. Approximately 2 million individuals remain internally displaced, while an additional 2.3 million South Sudanese refugees have sought refuge in neighboring countries.
