Call for applications: DEMAC invites members of diaspora organizations involved in humanitarian response to apply for the upcoming in-person Global Diaspora Forum in Berlin on 18-19 November 2022.

Are you volunteering or working for a diaspora organization involved in humanitarian response? Do you want to strengthen humanitarian assistance towards your homeland by exchanging experiences, successes and challenges with other diaspora organizations and expand your network?
Then this is the chance for you to become part of our global diaspora community!
The 2-days Global Diaspora Forum will be held in-person in Berlin, Germany. Traveling and hotel costs will be covered by DEMAC. The participants are expected to arrive on the 17th of November and commit to the full duration of the workshop. The workshop language will be English.
Set the agenda with your preferences
We aim to make this event as relevant as possible for you! That is why we want you to be part of creating the agenda of the day and sharing your expert knowledge.
What topics are you interested in? What matters are the most challenging for your organization when working in humanitarian response? In which area do you need more knowledge or exchange? Do you want to know more about fundraising, advocacy, coordination with institutional humanitarian actors or something completely different?
In the registration form you can submit your preferences. This will help us to tailor the agenda to your needs and to ensure the best possible learning and exchange for you!
Who can participate?
Before registering to the Global Diaspora Forum, read through the participants criteria below. After the registration deadline we will select among the applicants according to those:
- Your organization is actively involved in provision of humanitarian response
- Only one representative from each organization can participate
- The participant has solid knowledge of the organization's work and can evidently transfer the key learnings from the workshop back to his/her organization
