Representatives of the Danish Council for Refugees visited JKP Komrad Bihać to donate the metal canopies and tents that this company will use for equipment storage and waste sorting for recycling.

"The Danish Council for Refugees has been striving for almost four years to improve the quality of life of the local population and people on the move currently residing in Bosnia and Herzegovina, primarily through strengthening the capacity of the health system by donating medical equipment or renovating certain departments in hospitals. Today, we also showed our commitment to environmental protection and the preservation of the planet for future generations. The City of Bihać and JKP Komrad are our partners in that process, and we are grateful to them for that," stressed Šemsudin Ljumanović, DRC Field coordinator.

The donation was secured thanks to the project 'Ensured Access to Health Services and Protection Response for Asylum Seekers, Refugees, and Migrants in BiH', financed by ECHO.

"Environmental protection should be a priority for society as a whole. We strive to improve our daily activities, not only to educate the population but also to follow world trends and standards. Canopies and tents will significantly improve our work in waste management and the recycling process," emphasized Mehur Selimović, director of Komrad.
