DRC launches new efforts to address climate related displacement

What is the link between climate change and displacement of people? How do effects related to climate change affect vulnerable population and force them to flee their homes? These were some of the questions debated during the recent Climate Social Camp in Italy.

Effects of climate change increasingly relevant across the globe, not least to conflict-affected and other vulnerable populations. In Italy, where DRC works to support asylum seekers, migrants and refugees in transit or residing in the country, the Climate Social Camp in Turin from 25-29 July 2022 was a unique opportunity to meet other international movements - such as Fridays for Future and several ecologist groups – and discuss climate social justice.
