Gaza: DRC Condemns the Blockade of Humanitarian Aid

DRC condemns Israel’s blockade of humanitarian aid into Gaza, depriving millions of essential supplies and violating international law, worsening the humanitarian crisis.

DRC is appalled by Israel’s decision to block all humanitarian aid going into Gaza, including essential supplies like food, water, and medicine. This action amounts to the collective punishment of over two million Palestinians, worsening the crisis, and pushing people further into starvation and despair. Despite the ceasefire agreement promising the continuation of aid operations, it is instead being weaponized, severely impacting those in dire need within Gaza.
After 15 months of a relentless military offensive, Gaza’s health system is nearing collapse, its basic infrastructure is devastated, and families are desperately searching for food and water. Blocking aid is not only inhumane, it violates international humanitarian law.
DRC urges the international community to hold all parties accountable for ensuring the immediate and unconditional entry of humanitarian aid and protecting civilians against violations of international law.
