Meet Faris Kulić, our Warehouse and Logistics Officer

As a volunteer in DRC BiH, back in 2019, Faris Kulić was involved in creating reports of medical examinations in temporary reception centers in BiH. In 2020 he was hired as a Warehouse assistant in Una Sana Canton, later on, Faris became a Logistics assistant and started conducting fleet management, while currently, he acts as Warehouse and Logistics Officer.

“I enjoy this kind of job where I am directly involved in the managing of goods which are distributed as first aid for a dignified life for the people on the move. Together with protection teams, we logistic and warehouse people contribute to the whole process of humanitarian response in BiH, by ensuring the food and nonfood items, medical supplies, or any other goods which need to be transferred or delivered in any area in the country. Of course, we are supporting other segments of the DRC BiH mission in case they need us and while assisting them we feel that it makes a difference on the field,” emphasized Faris.

When it comes to Warehousing, Fraise’s main duty is ensuring that all warehouse inventory processes are done according to the DRC policies and procedures in a transparent efficient, and cost-effective manner. The biggest work challenges for Faris and his colleagues in the team are mostly related to their responsibility to, sometimes, support two or three segments of DRC in a short period of time. Over time, they have learned to be pragmatic and act on short notice. Also, very often they face challenges working with national suppliers related to damages and discrepancies of goods that DRC was ordering, but thanks to the healthy and respective relations on a personal basis all operations are running smoothly.

“I think that my biggest contribution through logistics is that everything we do and plan today will be reflected in the future as help for people on the move. By performing our tasks on time and in the best possible way, we are able to facilitate their conditions and provide them with essential goods. DRC is an organization that values hard work and commitment. I am grateful that I have the opportunity to work in a line of business where, with our abilities and through our actions today, we can make a better tomorrow for people on the move,” concludes Faris.

                                                                                                                  
Since Faris is working away from home he mostly spends his free time with his family and friends. Football is his passion, so whenever there is an opportunity he goes to the stadium where he recharges his batteries and doesn’t think about work.
