Most Significant Change

A gender based violence programme called "Most Significant Change" support men and boys in the Bangladeshi Host Community in Cox's Bazar.

Since August 2021, the Danish Refugee Council has been providing specialised GBV programming to 5,463 Rohingyas and affected Bangladeshi host community people in Cox’s Bazar.

Case workers have been at the frontline in assisting survivors reporting abuses through a comprehensive set of interventions including direct material assistance and psychosocial support. DRC field teams have also been actively engaging with different community groups on GBV prevention, to address and mitigate the root causes of violence.

Under the "Most Significant Change" activity, DRC has been engaging men and boys in structured sessions to change mindsets, attitudes and behaviours that cause harm. 981 boys and men participated in these sessions.

To learn more about the impact of these activities, DRC organised a writing contest where participants of these sessions shared stories of personal transformation. Let's meet the winner and listen about his changes.
