Voices of the Mediterranean: The diversity of migratory narratives in Tunisia, a richness often overlooked.

Unique migration stories, "Voices of the Mediterranean" is shedding light on the personal narratives of individuals seeking hope, opportunity, and other horizons. Initiated by the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), this project aims to humanize the migration discourse by presenting diverse and unique experiences of people on the move in Tunisia.

To commemorate International Migrants Day, the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) in Tunisia announces the launch of a series of podcasts as part of the "Voices from the Mediterranean" project.

"Voices from the Mediterranean" gives a voice to refugees and migrants through a series of podcasts, highlighting stories and life paths around migration in Tunisia.

Among them is Emilia Taghizadeh, from a family of Iranian immigrants, who stresses the importance of access to culture and art for vulnerable children.

Frank Yotedje, raising the policies of the Tunisian state, calls for a migration policy focused on local benefits. Abdallah Said, a Chadian who has lived in Tunisia for 30 years, highlights the crucial role of migrants and associative work in local social cohesion.

These individual testimonials represent a tiny part of the diverse mosaic of people living in Tunisia. These voices, now accessible through the podcast series, strengthen local communities and provide authentic, nuanced perspectives on migration.
