The report shares personal experiences from persons who have returned from Denmark to Thailand with reintegration support, with particular focus on persons who have been subjected to human trafficking.
Since 2020, DRC and Caritas Thailand have collaborated to provide reintegration support to people returning from Denmark to Thailand. Between 2020 and mid-December 2025, 61 persons without residence permits in Denmark have returned through this cooperation.
The report is informed by the experiences and perspectives of returnees, gathered through DRC’s collaboration with Caritas Thailand over the past several years. Most importantly, it draws on interviews with 15 women conducted during DRC’s most recent visit to Thailand in May 2025. The voices of these women form the core of the report.
