What can we learn from the diaspora and local humanitarian collaborations in Ukraine, Syria and Afghanistan? The panel hosted by DEMAC will feature representatives from the Syrian, Ukrainian, and Afghan diaspora and local organizations. They will discuss best practices, challenges, and opportunities for improving partnerships and collaboration between diaspora and local actors in humanitarian responses. The conversation will focus on concrete examples of joint humanitarian action and how institutional humanitarian actors can learn from their collaborations. The panel aims to enhance local leadership and recognize the unique added value of each actor in the humanitarian ecosystem.
