Yemen faces a complex protection crisis, worsened by ongoing conflict and regional instability, driving desperate coping mechanisms among its people. Since 2020, the Cash Consortium of Yemen (CCY), led by the Danish Refugee Council and partners, has aimed to improve living conditions for vulnerable Yemenis through effective cash assistance. By March 2024, the CCY has supported 58,606 households with multipurpose cash assistance, funded by the European Union, and continues to work towards longer-term resilience programmes.
