DRC is currently looking for a Human Resources and Administration Assistant in Sloviansk city.
About the job
The overall purpose of the Human Resources and Administration Assistant role is to support and carry out human resources and administrative functions in support of humanitarian assistance operations in the Donetsk region. The position provides day-to-day HR and administrative support to field teams and office staff in Sloviansk, ensuring efficient office operations, proper documentation, and compliance with internal procedures and local regulations. The role may require occasional business trips within Ukraine.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

Support implementation of HR policies and compliance with Ukrainian labor legislation and DRC procedures.

Assist recruitment processes, including vacancy tracking, interviews, and preparation of job offers and hiring documentation.

Coordinate onboarding processes and prepare induction materials for new staff.

Prepare employment contracts, amendments, and provide administrative support for HR changes.

Maintain and update HR data in DRC Dynamics, including contracts, leave, and staff movements.

Prepare staff timesheets and administer leave and absence records.

Support performance management, staff development processes, and provide guidance on medical insurance and staff well-being.

Ensure proper management, confidentiality, and accuracy of personnel files and HR documentation.

Support staff exit processes and administer complaint mechanisms in line with the Code of Conduct.

Provide administrative support to the all staff.

Coordinate administrative and logistical arrangements for visitors and field missions, including accommodation.

Manage office administration, supplies, service providers, invoices, and documentation.

Maintain trackers, databases, and document management systems for HR and administrative activities.

Support programme visibility activities and coordinate daily work of cleaning staff.
About you
To be successful in this role, we expect you have minimum 1 year of experience in human resource management, administration, office work, or a related field.
Moreover, we also expect the following:
Required:
- University degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
- Computer literacy: Confident user of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Desirable:
- Knowledge of English - B1 or higher level

Contract length: 3 month probation period and 12 months renewable depending on performance and funding.
