Launch of the Global Displacement Forecast Report 2023

The DRC Global Displacement Forecast Report 2023 will be launched on March 13, 14:30 at an online event.

The report provides the latest forecasts for forced displacement for 2023 and 2024 in 26 countries using a machine learning model developed by DRC and IBM called Foresight. According to the model, the total number of people displaced in the 26 countries of focus is set to increase by 5.4 million by the end of 2024.

The report further explores current trends related to the drivers of displacement.

At the launch, we will take a deeper look at the findings, explore links between climate change, fragility and displacement, and see how these trends play out currently in the Burkina Faso crisis.
