DRC Greece Help Line services come to an end.

Services provided through DRC Greece Help Line will cease as of 31st of May 2023. Both direct calls and the Telegram integrated chatbot will not be accessible after that date. Beneficiaries will be redirected via automated messages to other existing Help Line and information provision services.

Executive summary

The Response to Ukrainian Arrivals (RUA) project was established in May 2022 to support people fleeing Ukraine in accessing accurate and up to date information about available services and their entitlements in Greece.

During that time, DRC Greece reached out and coordinated with 121 Civil Society Organizations, Ukrainian diaspora, and voluntary groups in Greece. RUA team contributed to setting up one of humanitarian aid distribution point of Athens for the first three months of its operation.

More than 550 individuals seek support via the helpline with more than 900 requests being resolved. 225 beneficiaries accessed individualized protection services including PSS support, legal counselling, referrals, cultural mediation, and accompaniments. Families and individuals were supported upon assessment with targeted assistance and provision of non-food items such as medicine, glasses, medical equipment, transportation and more.

From 1st of June 2023, direct calls and the Telegram integrated chatbot will not be accessible after that date. Beneficiaries will be redirected via automated messages to other existing Help Line and information provision services.
